Founded in 2001, 180 Leadership Capital pushed the boundaries of traditional executive search practices. The firm’s principal had deep operating industry experience and established peer-based relationships with top-tier leaders in medical technology, health informatics, big data, and emerging technology companies. But the firm’s name (180 Leadership Capital) did not convey executive search — its core business.
By Design Partners, with Big Leap Media, suggested a name change to one80° Search, which clearly communicates the company’s core business. By Design Partners then redesigned the brand identity and introduced a tagline to further differentiate the firm from its competitors. While 180 was retained, it was reinterpreted as one80° Search to reinforce the idea that this executive search firm approaches its assignments from a radically different angle.
In addition to naming, the project included a bold color palette, a new website, and business collateral materials.
In August 2017, By Design Partners designed and developed a new responsive website for one80° Search. The new site is bold, elegant, and unlike any other executive recruiting firm’s website. It showcases the one8o° Search leadership team, the firm’s clients, and offers testimonials from its blue chip clients.
